    HOW TO USE THIS TEMPLATE
    1. The checklist below is for your internal onboarding tasks
      1. Assign each task by tagging the appropriate person (type @name on each line item)
      2. Find and update any coded text to fit your company
    2. The General Onboarding Template page linked below is the new hire-facing onboarding process/checklist. Review the instructions for that template inside the page.
    3. Remember this template is meant to fit you and your company, so adjust it accordingly! This template is very modular, so add, take away, and edit as you see fit.

    Upon Hire

    Send offer letter via Docusign/HelloSign/PandaDoc/etc.
    Send IP Agreement via Docusign/HelloSign/PandaDoc/etc.

    Two Weeks Ahead

    Create accounts
    Gmail
    Payroll
    Draft and schedule series of welcome emails:
    An ecstatic welcome
    Payroll login info and equipment inquiry
    Intro to manager and buddy, what to expect on day one, I-9 instructions
    Create unique onboarding plan (using onboarding template above)
    Order equipment
    Equipment
    Ordered
    Delivered
    Computer

    One Week Ahead

    Invite to calendar events
    First day meeting with manager on the calendar
    First day all team meeting on the calendar
    Put first week meeting on calendar to discuss compensation, reviews
    Put first week meeting on calendar for Township housekeeping items
    Put first week meetings on the calendar with manager
    Any other applicable meetings/events
    Create accounts
    list accounts new hire needs to sign up for
    Send welcome card (and swag, if available) to arrive before first day
    Share passwords and logins as needed
    Add new hire to appropriate projects in Harvest/time keeping software
    Send final welcome email with onboarding overview and checklist

    First Week

    Complete I-9
    Share medical benefits enrollments forms, support through process
    Share handbook signature page via Docusign/HelloSign/PandaDoc/etc.
    Prepare for first 1-1 (use this guide)
    Add bday reminder/notification into calendar
    Set up benefits
    List applicable benefits to set up

    First Three Months

    Check on new hire's progress of onboarding checklists
    Write bio and upload picture onto site
    Acknowledge completion of first month
    Send card and small gift for completion of first three months
    Intro plan for 3 months slides for Town Hall
    First review with the career framework
    Send onboarding feedback survey
